Message I have had a 2001 Audi S4 for about a year now. Once getting involved on the Audi forums and what not, it was extremely surprising to me to see how many people get coilovers on this car. Not to mention, the selection is huge with many different manufacturers. Also, it was interesting to see that these companies make "street" coilovers. I was quite surprised with all this since I didn't understand the whole "coilovers on the street" thing coming from the Z world. Almost everyone here that just drives their car on the street gets the KYB/Eibach combo. But in the Audi world, they get coilovers and there are versions that are very compliant on the street.

I bought some Stasis Streetsports which are really a Koni setup. I love them on the street. However, Stasis makes a Tracksport with custom spring rates and also their Motorsport suspension which is supposed to be the best (it's like a $4K suspension I think). I picked up the Streetsports for a really cheap price brand new and couldn't pass them up. I was just curious if there are such options for the Z. I was thinking of lowering it, but probably won't track it very much. That being said, I'd want something that wouldn't be like a track set up 911 Turbo like my Audi mechanic has. That thing rides like a freight train on the street...lol
