After sitting in the rain for a while, when I accelerate away, there is a mini niagra falls in the back of my car ... with the hatch closed. Also, the speakers that I have in there (pioneers) have a rubber surround and a poly (waterproof) cone ... I checked - water doesn't run through them at all. If the stock ones were in there, I would agree with you totally ... they were laminated paper and yes, water does splash on them when the deck is opened. But this is happening on essentially water-proof speakers with the deck closed. Odd. I've got it down to one of two things I think. Either the seal on my rear window is leaking or my Kaminari wing is allowing water to leak in. In either case, it seems to pool in the top of the deck - and then flows out when I drive forward (or open the deck of course).
