I was at the Suzuka finale in 2005 with other americanos. ;-) One day I'll post the freaking pictures from that trip... there's some shit in there that... well, I'm a little freaked just thinking back on it. :Who in their right mind is going to opt for one over a 911 or corvette in ALMS or Grand AM? Over even lesser series? SCCA? I see your point right now, but performance will dictate how it's received. If it smokes those cars, then people will buy it and use it as a platform. If it doesn't perform out of the box then it won't get much notice. On the other hand, there are a lot of brand loyal people that wouldn't select the other anyway. Since the GTR will be the red crow of that level, it's really got to prove itself to draw people over. There is no following for it in the US, most people don't even know what the hell a Skyline is, much less the new GTR.
