Being a slightly biased Z06 owner, I don't think you'll be regretting your purchase at all. No, I really don't think the GT-R can best the Z06 straight out but until we get them in the populace we wont know for sure. We don't know how well the AWD/E-throttle works off the line in comparison (remember, we're talking stock tires on the RWD Z06) and we also don't know how under/overrated the motor is despite the specs. A few tenths down low could be big gains at the top end, as you know. Unlikely as it may be. Also, when you get into power levels like these auto manufacturers can get really tricky with what they publish for insurance reasons. I'm reminded of when Chevy did this on the LS1 Camaro. On paper, it just made no sense that it would run the times that it did and beat the living crap out of the similar powered 305BHP rated Cobras. Throw it on a dyno and you found that it actually made 305 at the rear wheels. Again, somewhat unlikely but what I'm trying to say is that the car isn't out yet so we just don't know. Mind you, I also think the Z06 is insanely hard for any car, anywhere to beat for the price. And I really don't find the GTR to be anything close to a "bang for the buck" vehicle either. Fret not :D
