well, i wasn't going to post this, but just goes to show what this world is coming to. Anyway, saturday night was Hot Import Nights down at the Long Beach Convention Center here in So Cal. I got grounded, but my parents left to go to a dinner party around 8:00 pm and it was saturday night so i figured i'd hit it up even though it's like a 45 minute drive. So i get down there, and it's the usual scene, fine women and nice cars. I left around 11:30 and on the way home around 12:00 i get a call from a friend who was still there. He had just bailed outta there after a Filipino gangster slit this other guys throat right in front of the APC booth and in another incident (i'm not sure if it was related to this one) a shot was fired and another guy lay dead. They shut all the music off, turned the lights all on and even STOPED the BOOTY CONTEST to try to find the guys. They didn't find them, but they were taking blood samples from everybody that was Filipino that was there (not sure how they could tell who was Filipino, but whatever). And this happened even though they were doing searches at the door, kinda scary to think a guy with a knife and another with a gun got through. Either way, just warning people and letting them know what's going on out here. take care, amir
