| and he gave me some pretty good insight that for some reason didn't occur to me earlier. Even if I was to get cams, manifolds and my heads ported, I really don't know how much it will help me. I use JWT Sport 500 turbos, and, even though my hp will go up a bit, I think my top end acceleration is limited more by the turbos I'm using than anything else. I'm doing over 500 at the wheels with a stock shortblock, and I don't think the sport 500s are going to push much more than that, even with better cams, ported heads and MS manifolds. He suggested that I get a new shortblock, and then do the cams, manifoldsa and ported heads, but also upgrade turbos to sport 700s or HKS GT2530s. That way, I'd be doin close to 500rwhp on pump gas at relatively low boost. I thought about it, and it seems like the way I should go. Too bad it's going to cost between $12 - $15Gs for it, but I guess that is a whole 'notha can of worms!
