| give better response, less lag and increased power. As it stands now, I'm really more interested in beefing up top end acceleration (4.5K+ rpm) at high speeds, which is why I initially was thinking of doing the cams over the MS manifolds. I didn't think it cost THAT much, I was thinking around $2K for the job (according to a specialist shop), and I thought the manifolds were going to cost something similar. The parts themselves are close - the JWT 400 cams are about a G, plus the cost of the gears and miscellaneous parts, and the manifolds are around a G also. You're right, I should do BOTH at once, but that's a crap ton of money that I don't need to spend. Doing one is costly enough, and I can wait a year or so and get the other done without killing my wallet is quickly. Also: I would get the R5 cams, except that Seb at SZ told me the gears and springs last for only 5K miles or so and then need to be replaced. F that!
