It's much easier dealing with the EFI harness if you don't give a crap about the paint job:
Final pic of motor before it comes out tomorrow. All of the silver pieces are ceramic coated, and the black pieces (including the plenum) are ceramic coated as well. All of this going up for sale at some point in time, I suppose it's nice to see how it all looked put together before I rip into it tomorrow.
EFI harness is brand new. Alternator seriously has 5 miles on it, as does the PS pump. The pump is already sold, but I am really taking it in the family jewels on this deal on so many of these parts it almost makes me want to cry. $13k car + $9k in boltons = blown motor blown motor + $10k for internals/turbos/etc = fast car, no workie no workie + $4500 + Greg Dupree (stuck lifters, 2 bent exhaust valves) = < 1500 miles of fun, spread out over a year and a half. Semi-fun underutilized car + 5 mile trip around the block to burn through old gas before being towed to SZ for dyno = popped motor #2 This was the worst financial decision I have ever made (or ever will make) in my entire life. I've dropped about $8k into the STi, beat the living $h!t out of it for almost 20k miles, and still drive it to work every morning and come home and do 4 wheel perfect-axis burnouts behind Tractor Supply if I need to blow off steam. I will probably get VTD, but I will post video of some turntable 4 wheel burnouts later this week for kicks.
