I had an old HP SureWriter (2x) that could do them fine. My new 8x does them fine as well. Maybe 1984 CD Player (for work), my stero CD Player, DVD Player, portible player, and car players (2) play them all fine. Do you have an HP Writer? Now, some HP Writers were "bad." They didn't write to full media capacity as advertised. There is a class action lawsuit against them. If you can write 74min CDs, you're probably ok. But it might be something like that or your CD-R or CD-RW doesn't support it. But pretty much anything new will. You can try different software. I like Nero Burning Rom. You can also try CD Clone. Also, try using different media. You could have a set of bad discs or something. If you can listen to them fine in your CD players, but you're having trouble with your car's CD player, try using a Blue disc. Blue refers to the color on the back of the CD. Blue discs are recommended for car CD players if they have trouble reading other discs. The blue discs have a different reflective property than Gold, Green, Silver, & Black. You can also try a black disc if blue doesn't work.
