Message shooting a white car, generally you'd shoot at + 1/3rd or 2/3rd stop. shooting with a negative bias would have the shots come out even darker.

shots look, though.

for B&W conversions, I like to use Channel Mixer, Monochrome, Red 24%, Green 34%, Blue 37%. A few examples
