I've had a t-top NA, TT, and slicktop NA then converted to a TT, and the slicktop has noticable stiffness and rigidity, especially when combined simply with the TT rear sway bar. This is only by feeling tho, and I haven't driven a TT with the hicas removed, which could account for a bit of the sloppy feeling in the turns compared to the slicktop. The slicktop also weighs a bit less (obviously), adding to the feeling of better handling in the corners. I haven't conducted any physics tests to prove such, however, I'm merely stating my opinion on my experience in the feel.
