I saw quite a bit of interest on last nights thread so I'll try to answer questions from everybody. This is a kit found on ebay, for those of you who don't want ebay stuff on your car, move along. I have had this kit on my TT for over a year now and I think it's the best thing under $100 I have bought for it so far. I have installed it on 2 other cars as well and all have worked flawlessly. It retains the stock alarm.
I figured I would do a write up when I put it in my NA and when I thought about how it would be specific to this kit and how it would be throwing business his way I asked the seller to discount my kit as well as the kits any of you decide to buy. Just to set thing clear that I'm not making any money off of it. I got a reply today from my inital email and the discount would only be $5 or so...but I'm working on getting it down further.
Anyways, as for installing it. I did the first one in about 2 hours and the other 2 in about an hour, for the hatch release I used a stock nissan relay and it took about 45 minutes moastly due to the time it took to run a wire from the "control unit" to the hatch. I didn't use ALL the functions as well just the keyless entry and trunk release as that is all I wanted. If anyother questions need answered please feel free to ask. I will do a write up in the coming weeks regardless if the guy gives me a discount on my kit or not.
