Message First of all, i love my 93tt. I have owned it for over three years, and the relationship with my car equates somewhat to a relationship with someone of the opposite sex. Love/hate at best. My Z has approx 177k, original turbos, recent timing belt x, water pump etc. My injectors would equate to being in the intensive care unit. I have intermintant EGR issues. I dont burn oil, i dont produce smoke, and minus lil issues here and there it is pretty solid, imo. Currently have single pop, Labree test pipes and cat back.
Ill be leaving the U.S. Navy in about 11 months (no more Iraq for me:)), and will be working a minor health care job, and attending school. To say the least, my income is fixed and limited at best.
My question: Setting passion aside for my car, i need an outsiders view. Am i holding on too tight? should i let go? I have considered getting a lower mileage Z, same as mine.I have considered garaging it, and putting the money pit off to a later date once my income inflates. I've considered selling it, and getting something more practical. Here is what i CANT get over: walking up to my car before i drive it, and have a sense of pure satisfaction overcome me exhonerating my ill-Z resentment thoughts. My goals are clear and outlined: smooth running, drivable, somewhat reliable tt z32. Im cool with stock turbs. I need no more than aftermarket clutch, post-down pipes exhaust, intake and ecu. rebuild. I feel discouraged, and need recesitation. invalidate my erroneous feelings please! Give me feedback.
