Above the main cutoff line are two other glare points that can be really annoying for oncoming traffic. That's why I went to the JDM housings with the USDM metal angle cutoff pieces, as they eliminated that glare altogether and allowed me to aim the lights where I wanted without changing the way they sat in the headlight buckets. When I went to the Philips kit, I figured I'd try them in the USDM housings, and they didn't have as much of that glare, but slightly more than the JDM housings did. However, it was aimed directly to the side, so by the time they would reach a passing car's eye level, they were close to directly beside me, no longer facing the headlights. Cheers, JBrobst
