| I saw all the other posts, but couldn't reply. I just got back late last night and all the posts were already locked. Seems everything for the past couple weeks has been fighting me and trying to keep me from making this event. I have been going through lower injector isolators like crazy lately (I think I have a solution figured out, will post more later after more testing), boost leaks, new parts, etc. Everything came down to the last min literally, but I made it there. Left Colorado around noon on Thursday and got into town that night. I ended up staying at my parent’s house on the Iowa side. I trailered the car out there ready to unload at the track. I got my Jspec bumper installed the day before I left. Didn't have time to clear the corners though. Was waiting to have the bumper painted with the new spoiler and the Speedy style vented hood I ordered 4 months ago that is still in limbo. Pretty disappointed with the guy in Cali doing the hood since summer is now almost over along with the track days this year. This would also be the first time I got to try out the new Avon track tires (275/17 all around) and track wheel set up (17x9) along with all my adjustable goodies from Powertrix and my new subframe bushings.
I grew up in the Omaha/CB area, but left long before I got into Z's and before the track was built. I have wanted to try this track out ever since they finished it. I must say it's a very nice facility and layout. 2.25 mile course. Good amount of fast curves and plenty of straight sections. It's right off the hwy south of town so it was fairly close as well. Race and pump gas on site, lots of parking, grand stands, food, showers, etc. It's better than anything we have in Colorado at the moment so I was ready to go. Weather was jsut about perfect. Mid to low 80's (amazing), low humidity (again amazing) and clear skys. Drivers meeting:

Putting on the "bra" (found some 3" wide tape, woot). Paint is less than a week old.

I had a few issues throughout the day. First were my brake pads. I've had nothing but bad luck with new Hawk pads. I had tried a set of HPS street pads in the past. Broke them in, everything was good. Went through a stop light the first time I tried to use them and had to grab the ebrake. Took those out and put my old Porsche pads back in. At the track I had some new HT-10 pads to try. I had them broke in already and they worked very well when braking them in. On the track though I had issues. The whole car would "shudder" violently when trying to brake hard. Pulled in and checked things out, couldn't find an issue. Luckily I had brought my old Hawk Blue pads. Swapped them in and everything worked fine the rest of the day. Didn't have as good of stopping power as I would have liked since they are pretty worn out. It kept the main straight speeds down a bit, but work well enough to still have some fun and keep me off the grass. Swapping out the pads (which is very easy and fast with the Porsche calipers btw)
We were back in business. Made it through a few sessions giving rides to my parents and such. On my last session I hit another problem. Had a shifting mishap and couldn't get the car to go into gear anymore. Lucky I was near the exit so I headed back to the pits. We tried to find the issue, even called Greg Dupree for advice. Dropped the starter, bleed the system, etc. We couldn't see or find the issue so I loaded the car onto the trailer and was ready to call the weekend done. I had made the track day so I was happy. But a group of guys there were determined to have me at the car show the next day and at the drive on Sunday. So we towed the car over to Evil Twins house and dropped the tranny. Found the problem that has plagued a few guys on here: Looking for the issue at the track

Found it
Kind of sucked as the RPS disc looked great still and had lots of meat even after all the track events I have put it through. Ended up putting a stock clutch disc in that was donated by Piranha to get me moving again. It was about 2:00 in the morning by the time we were ready to roll again. I'll work on the rest of the event write up now.
