| Traffic- I didn't like that it took me over an hour to drive less than 10 miles at certain hours of the day. Cost of living- more expensive all around. Houses, gas, utilities, food. People- my impression was that your average person was not as friendly as they are elsewhere. I've spent time (usually at least one year) in many parts of the country. If I was broken down on the side of the road, SoCal is the type of place where I wouldn't expect to have someone stop to help me. Just my personal opinions. I'm not trying to offend anyone that lives there since it has the best weather and infrastructure, but those things aren't as important to me as the above three things. To each his own.
