Message for the past 7 years of NA ownership, i have always wondered how it felt to drive a turbocharged car. now that i have one, i would like to share the differences between the two. i was always curious as an NA owner how the two compared, as many of you may be now. so IMHO:

TT power is nice but it drives very differently from the NA. the TT feels 'heavier' when not in boost, which makes you constantly want to dip into positive pressure. in all honesty, i felt that the NA was more nimble and predictable when driving aggressively. the power delivery is much more violent with the TT, which forces you to drive with a lot more caution. i felt more comfortable downshifting in the NA than do so with the TT for this very reason. the handling and the drive just feels different between the two cars.

the feeling of boost is quite unique. the more you bury your foot into the pedal, the harder the car pulls. its quite exhilerating. but like all things, you get used to this feeling and the car feels 'underpowered' in a relatively short period of time. one thing to remember is there's so much hype on turbos that many people come in with unrealistic expectations. the 400 hp of stage 3 is not gonna break your neck off like i once thought it would. haha. and talk about gas mileage, its horrendous. everytime i dip into boost, i see the gas gauge just plummet. its like pay per boost. ha!

people get so caught up in building the fastest car that they lose priority over the more important things in life. don't. keep things in perspectives and enjoy the car for what it is. i honestly think that the NA still is a very adequate and competent car, which i would be happy with. cheers!
