: "It was raining like crazy," motorist Trevan Burke said.
: Coors Boulevard was one of the hard-hit areas.
: "Oh, my lord," said an employee of NYPD Pizza. The restaurant near Coors and Paseo del Norte had water coming in the front and rear doors, as well as a power surge, she said.

: The converging storms cut power to 2,900 customers in Rio Rancho and to hundreds of customers scattered throughout the north and west ends of Albuquerque.
: The National Weather Service reported that Paradise Hills got 1.48 inches of rain and Rio Rancho's North Hills area got 1.7 inches, while Montgomery and Tramway received 0.65 of an inch.
: Lightning is believed to have sparked a large brush fire north of Interstate 40, off Shooting Range Road, according to the Weather Service.
: Albuquerque firefighters brought the blaze under control Thursday night. It consumed more than 4 square miles of brush, Fire Department spokesman Rick Chavez said. No structures were threatened
