Just want to express my gratitude to all of you who help me understand this very complex car. This website has been an invaluable resource information and advice. I do not plan any further mods and so concludes the project aspect of this endeavor. Soon my son will take possesion of the car and I will move on to some other project. My plans are to look into a V8 swap on to an S13 or other suitable lightweight RWD platform. It has been a lot of fun to own and work on this car although not without some disappointments. About half of the aftermarket items I acquired were misrepresented, of inferior quality than stock and almost never fit as advertised. The EBC was perhaps the best mod. After a bitch of an installation the car's power increase was very notciable. The big brakes, while they looked great inside those SSR 18s, have always vibrated and the pedal effort has always been hard. I cannot say they improved braking at all. The DPs were definitely an improvement in weigh, clearance and power. The TPs also gave the car a little more umph but I disliked the straight path they took reducing ground clearance. My final mod, the cat back, has been the most disappointing. While the aesthetic enhancement of the large quad tips is undeniable, no added power was felt and an annoyoing cabin resonance now persists below 2500 rpm. Perhaps a megawatt sound system will mask these unpleasant exhaust sounds. Farewell to you all and as we say in the motorcycling community "keep the rubber side down"...
