Please Be aware - If you have a convertible, and do not have an SCCA approved roll bar, you will not be permitted to participate @ the Z-Con track event. This is a pretty drastic departure from previous years, however the powers that be have ruled on this and there are to be no exceptions. RULES:
If you do not conform to the rules of this event, both written and oral, you will not be allowed to run. Additionally, you will forfeit your entry fee. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Central Florida Region-SCCA and the Florida Z Association wants you to have a safe and enjoyable event. Erratic, unsafe, or at fault driving incidents on the track will be grounds for ejection from the event with registration fee forfeiture at the sole discretion of the Chief Steward or Event Chair.
CONVERTIBLES: Generally, no convertibles will be allowed to participate. This notification is made in the interest of safety for both the driver and Instructor. If your convertible is equipped with a bolt on hard top, has a retractable hard top, or an SCCA Time Trial spec’d roll bar, it will be allowed to participate.
TARGA TYPE OR T-TOP:
Targa type vehicles are not permitted except with a roll bar meeting SCCA Time Trial rules. T-top cars must have their roof panels installed. CLOTHING:
Suitable clothing, i.e., long sleeves, long pants, socks, shoes covering the entire foot must be worn.
INSTRUCTORS:
Will be assigned for each novice entrant and may be assigned any entrant as deemed necessary by CFR-SCCA. An instructor may be assigned to experienced entrants for mentoring and observation as well as in-car instruction if desired. First time participants will be evaluated to determine their ability for session groupings.
