Since your indicating that it's effecting your operating temperature. A guy on chicagoZ rigged up a device with a velcro release to mount on his fascia while he parks on the street. And be nice to the maids. As you're finding out, they can break your pockets. For example - I was parked/standing in the South Loop of Chicago (notorious for ticketing on the street). Parking enforcement rolled up to check plates, stickers, etc etc. Instead of ticketing me for no plate/tint he engaged in some car talk, and proceeded to ticket the car directly in front of me for no plate. Granted it's not routine procedure, but just goes to show you, honey > vinegar.
