Message about whether putting vents like that from behind the intercoolers into the wheel wells serves the intended purpose. The wheel wells are a "high pressure" area, which is why Nissan chose to ventilate the intercoolers with venturis UNDER the car (a low pressure area).

Intuitively, it seems like venting into the wheel wells is a good idea, since the force of air through the facia (and intercoolers and vents) would help to offset some of the pressure coming in through the side of the wheel well, and thus allow more air to flow through. I think Kuah has vented his this way on the SPL car. And I've seen it done on other cars as well (Mitsubishis).

But I've read that it doesn't work. Has anybody seen any definitive data to settle this issue?
