| Message | I installed Specialty Z with resonated H pipe, and quad tips. The quality is excellent, and the sound is good, but it is really too loud for my taste. I understand that TT's are quieter, since the turbos act as additional noise dampeners. There was also a post on here a few days ago that said the quad pipes are louder in that they use the rear third of each muffler to arrange the flow to the dual tips on each side. Maybe single tips on each side are a bit quieter. So I enjoy the vroom for the first five minutes, but after that it gets kinda old. I thought about resonated test pipes to quiet them down, but the jury is out whether removing the cats and replacing them with resonated test pipes would help the noise level. The quietest (and maybe the cheapest) is to find a good, used OEM (yikes) system.
