Mouseover preview: Pics of my adventures in the mountains, my crappy Kia rental car, the Tail of the Dragon, my new Stern wheels and some other new toys. I had a chance to go up to Johnson City, Tennessee on Sunday, so I took it. The group I traveled with was staying until Saturday, but I felt the need to come back before then. On Tuesday, I picked up my rental car from Hertz. I opted for the "mid-size" class, which was going to be something like a Corolla. I didn't really care, but I wound up with a V6-powered Kia Optima, a step above the Corolla, IMO. The e-brake worked great. I left Wednesday morning, making my way down towards North Carolina on route towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. Destination: US 129, aka the Tail of the Dragon.

I usually find the roads more amusing than the scenery...

Once I stopped here, I didn't take many pics along the Dragon, but it was awesome. I have to go back sometime in the Z. 
While I was gone, my "new" Stern wheels arrived. These are the Face I Beast, 17x9s... 
I dunno where ADRs are made, but these were made in Japan... 
My other new toy... 
And one more "toy" the GF got me while I was gone. Of course his name is Rocky, and he's the new mascot of the Z...
