Message	to brace against the frame. This would help counter the tongue weight that you'd see from a floating tire rack. I have a Da'Lan hitch that attaches to tow hooks, and it works great for towing my tire trailer. But it would not be nearly strong enough to support the tongue weights you're looking at.
