Buy a UR pulley, measure dimensions, copy. Simple. Solid state device, no moving parts. Granted you will have to machine the bits that will cut the grooves in the pulley, but hell, I could do that with a dremel tool and some tooling steel.. These components that *other* companies sell at overpriced rates are making big money because these parts are cheap as hell to make. Thing is, most people just buy the stuff rather than look at the real cost of what they are buying. Get this, you can buy a set of forged rods and pistons for a small block chevy for $400. Why would it cost you >$2000 to do the same with a 3L 6 cylinder engine? If I had an NC machine I'd be tempted to start making pistons too. Flywheel for $400 - we definately have rocks in our heads. : Ask any company that has tried to make one. I talked to a guy at Unorthodox once...yikes.
