Message wrecked NA, we pulled the engine and trans together. I doubt I want to go the same route with the TT. Rather just drop the transmission and pull the engine separately.

I remember reading on the tech forum that the correct way to remove the auto trans is to keep the torque converter in it and simply unbolting it from the flex plate. Is that correct?

I'm assuming with some patience disconnecting it from the flex plate won't be a problem.
