Today i was getting around to replacing fuel lines on my Z and found some unusual part inside the oem factory fuel hose i replaced. (the feed line that comes from the fuel filter to the fuel hard line). It all came to be since i was bored after finishing up i cracked open that off conduit and was slicing to hose to view the internal condition when i noticed there was a hard spot in the hose, thats when i cut it open to find this odd black flexible restrictor tube inside the mid section of the hose. What is this part for and whats is it doing in there? It looks something like ive seen in fuel filters but i havent seen on in a fuel line like this before, any idea guys? It doesnt seem to be a check valve as it goes straight threw without a valve or anything. I replaced my fuel lines with normal high pressure fuel injection hose that doesnt have this piece in there, do you think there is any reason to put it back in? i mean it looks restrictive to me and doesnt logically look like it will help the performance of my Z.
