My black Z had the motor pulled at 66K miles. The heads were rebuilt with all Nissan OEM parts. Both turbochargers, and all associated lines and gaskets were replaced as well, as the pass side had seized. I now have 98K on the motor. So my heads and turbos are 32K old. I gotta pull my motor and tranny from my Silver Z shortly. This will be my first motor pull. And a good car to learn on, since I don't really care if I eff up a vac line or electrical connector or two in the process. Once I've familiarized my self with that, I could easily save up $1100 for the MSP mani's over the course of a year from now, but definitely not the extra 3K for the beloved SP530s. And I 100% would not do turbos without the manis, zero point in that. I already have installed, or waiting to be installed:ICs, new style 740 injectors, BC, AFC, TPs, DPs, dual POP/MAF, TPS coversheets etc, etc. My goal with the car is simple: decent power over as wide a band as possible. The NA rear end is awesome, and the only thing I could really do to reduce lag (besides the eventual expansion pipes) is get manifolds. The motor pull would be beneficial cosmetically too, as I could clean the filthy engine bay. Was basically just thinking out loud, and wanted to get some opninons. Ric, define "given away"
