I finally decided to clean up my engine bay. I swear it has never been done in my Z's 17 years of existence. I decided to go with the tried and true method of Castrol Engine Degreaser, box-o-rags, latex gloves, and a toothbrush. 2 days later, and I finally got to Armor-All the plastics and hoses. Here are some before and after pics. Enjoy! Before:

It was a big job but I am thrilled with my first attempt. Now to maintain it's cleanliness. To my surprise there was actually paint and engine decals under all that grease. I know I have no throttle body cover. A local Nissan dealership "forgot" to put it back on after some service a while back. My guess is they broke it.
