| Your numbers are way off for some reason. Either your tach is busted or your speedo is...and by quite a bit! [GEAR RATIO x MPH x 336] / [TIRE DIAMETER] = RPM so [4.08 x 80mph x 336] / [~25"] = 4386RPM Reversing that. To get 3100RPM [TIRE DIAMETER x RPM] / [GEAR RATIO x 336] = MPH so [25" x 3100rpm] / [4.08 x 336] = 56MPH Regardless of the math here, I never did understand all the whining that takes place with being at a higher RPM. The NA guys drive at the exact same RPM every day without complaint. If it's such a big deal, people should go back to TT gears =)
