i took the 97+ transmission into account but i have been reading that a lot of issues have been solved but still not 100%. The 4th gear is still weak cause it's always spinning so a strengthened one (possibly also cryo-treated) would really help with the problem and stronger synchros would also help too....i brought in the input shaft bearing cause it seems for higher powered Zs that bearing starts to whine after a while. of course i still do understand that 97+ is only $1800 compared to a couple hundred for the gear and synchros and at least another $800-1000 in labor
