I didn't really respond to your main post because there isn't much to say. I personally don't think you should give two shits about what anyone, anywhere says about it. Do what you want with your car. No need to justify it. Starting a thread makes it seem like they are getting to you and they shouldn't!
If anything, the only people that bug me are the ones that do pie-in-the-sky botch jobs when they can't afford the time or the money. Then we end up hearing about yet another Z sold for parts or dumped in a lake.
