Message They are getting close to worn out on the rears. There's a hair left over the tread wear bars; I'm going to have to start looking for new tires ASAP.

On wastegate springs, if I am in higher revs in first and shift quickly into 2nd @ WOT, it just keeps the tires skating across the road :-) It will also break the rears free at the top of second gear at WOT sometimes. Not smoke them, but you can feel it start to skitter around some.

I was surprised it hooked up as well as it did in 2nd @ 15psi. It was spinning (scratching for traction) the rears a bit most of second, but it wasn't hanging the tail out. Probably helped that it was around 90 degrees all day so the road and tires were good and warm.

I think if I had just done a normal fast 4-2 dowshift and stomped the gas it would have had less traction. I double clutched into 2nd and then fed it gas to WOT, fairly quickly, but didn't just floor it as fast as I could.

Mike
