Message Yesterday I went to start my car and heard a kitten crying. I thought it was just under my car or near by. Then a few seconds later I heard a load thump, a quick cry and then screech sounds. The poor little kitten must of been sitting on my main engine shield. I got so mad at my self for not turning off the car when I first heard the cries. I just wanted to share my story so that maybe this might prevent someone else from sharing this experience.

To make things worse it knocked both my AC belt and my waterpump/alternater belt off. This is a huge problem for me as I live in an apartment and cannot lift my car up to work on it. I had to squeeze my little arms down the sides of the radiator shroud to pop off the bottom half. Then after removing the radiator while trying to retain all of the fluid I realized that I just couldn't reach the adjustment bolts from the top. Fortunately I was able to get the water pump belt back on by cranking the alterernator pulley until it slid back over the water pump pulley. But I had to cut the AC belt for now. I miss having a house and a garage. Working on these cars from the top is very hard.

By the way, does anyone have the part number for the AC belt. I have a 1993 non turbo with unorthodox underdrive pulley.
