Message Not quite sure how you were able to come up with numbers that are so far off from each other percentage wise.
Also having trouble believing the Feramic 6 puck is only 3 lbs......
RPS tested Feramic material awhile ago and found it is much denser than the material they choose to use. The material being heavy was the biggest reason for RPS not using it.
They also found the material welds itself to the pressure plate and flywheel when it sees the heat of slipping at a launch.
Slipping (sliding) also caused the material to glaze and the material RPS uses does not glaze.
If they did get the disc weight down that far they would have needed to reduce the weight of the disc somewhere else besides the pucks because feramic is denser (heavier) material.
The outside weight is the most critical because the inertia
created by the outside weight at high RPM.
What I am saying is that where the weight is makes a huge difference even if the weights were the same.
