drag a car with a 540 Rat, a 400TH, and a 4:56. The local track was an 8th mile track. the nearest 1/4 strip was 90 miles away. It was a horrible drive. I swapped out the 4:56 for a 3:73. At highway speeds, the engine still screamed out at 4000 rpms. Imagine trying to drive 90 miles and twisting 4k out of a bigblock for 1.5 hours. I had to trailer it. Now I know that you are going to tell me that the VG turns easier than a Rat motor and that the R230 has a 3:69, but even so at highway speeds, that VG will still be turning 4k at the speed limit. A built 700 will hold anything you throw at it, and it will make the car so much more enjoyable to drive if the car sees a highway.
