if the levels were found to be that high during one test, on one car, with one timing tune, and one fuel tune. Joe(NoVA) stated EGT's routinely get above 1500°F. Your source stated the upper seen was 1550°F. Open and shut case IMO. Some cars will run hotter, some will run cooler, and all cases will be unsuitable for brazing.
