1. It says ECU and MAFs are not required in the conversion. I would suppose that meant that they came with the clip. Is this assumption correct? The MAF doesn't require changing during a swap and the ECU can either be swapped with a TT ECU or have the actual chip changed out (the way I went with ZTuner) 2. Is there any thing else I'm going to need upon purchase of this clip. Or is it good to go? You might consider little odds and ends like new PCV's and hoses, 60k kit, etc. I'd replace things that may be worn and are easy to do while the engine is out.
3. Is the reliability on these JDM motors up to par? Some have reported issues but others (myself included) have had no issues at all. I really think that it comes down to how they were treated before being decommissioned.
4. How am I going to pass emissions? The same way you would pass them here; AFAIK the engine shouldn't give you any additional problems with passing emissions unless you are temped to upgrade to split downpipes and test pipes without cats.
