most will pay loan value on the car (true value) and about 50% on mods if they are *permenant* installations and you have receipts. Or some have a depreciation schedule. So basically if mods are salvagable, you might as well strip them off. On the other had if you had an 'agreed value' on your car, you should get that amount. And I am assuming you have comp, because if not you may not get anything. Oh yeah, if there is any bank lien on the car, they get paid first. And if the insurance pays less than you owe, you still owe the diff. Hope none of those bad things apply.
