: : : the power from the headunit goes directly to the speaker, and around the amp.! its what i did. and it works great! later Shawn300z : : Bose speakers run on a 2 ohm resistance where as most other speakers run on 4 ohms (as well as most all aftermarket head units.
: : Don't expect them to last too long. : Not only will the speakers not last long but neither will your new stereo. The Bose speakers actually run at or near .5 Ohm which is definitly enough of a difference to cause problems SOON. I know that it will work for a little while but by the time you start to realize that it isn't just right any more it IS too late. There is DBD::ODBC::db prepare failed: (DBD: st_prepare/SQLAllocStmt err=-2) at incl_db.pm line 314. : a good listing on this site in the FAQ section about the system. I recommend you either replace all the speaker- at the newest they're 5-6 years old, and replace the in dash unit. You can purchase the adaptor but like I said the speakers are getting old anyway. The adaptors usually start at close to $70. you can get an ok set of rears for that then spend more on the fronts where it matters.
