You could spend a few grand getting a large set of turbos (GT28RS, GT2871, TD05-16G, etc) and just enough exhaust, electronic and intake pieces off the classifieds to make 500rwhp. There'd be a fair amount of lag but 500rwhp is 500rwhp. Or at the other end of the pool you could get a smaller set of turbos and upgrade the hell out of everything else (to get to said power goal, maybe a mid-sized nitrous shot to push you over the edge. But the car would be much more responsive and fun to drive (I think so at least). And of course there is all kinds of middle grounds and alternatives to look into.
