| What would you say is the percentage of VG30 rebuilds performed by professional rebuilders (no garage/driveway jobs.) that are destined to fail early before they are even dropped in the car? 100% That is if they are machined wrong, assembled wrong, not cleaned properly, not tuned properly, abused, detonated, ingest water, not maintained, etc... If none of those things happen then it is 0% Obviously who you take your engine to is crucial, but if you just had to talk about the raw percentage of good rebuilds vs destined for failure rebuilds.. what would you say? Well it is much more then the builder. It is the builder, installer, end user, tuner, girlfriend, mom, valet or anyone else that may or may not drive OR service the car. Same goes for stock motors. If you want percentages I would say I have seen 75% more blown or damaged stock motors then I have "built" motors. if you would like to quote a raw average along with your personal numbers for motors you work on that would be cool too, but im more interested on your view of rebuilds in general. Well like I said. I see far more stock motors that are blown, worn out, and/or abused then I do "built" motors. Like I said in my post I think people are not looking at the big picture.
