Message	require higher piston to cylinder clearance for forged compared to cast. Also aluminum alloy is used in piston manufacturing. There is variations in the alloy, primarily with silicone content of forged pistons. The higher the silicon content in the forged pistons the less thermal expansion and more brittle.
