97 fORMULA vs. 350z "RUDE AWAKENING" I was cruzin' thru town the other day. Out for some "spirited" driving when I noticed a blue 350Z zipping around in my rear view. I got the "pole" at the next light and he started reving. When the light changed I floored it, squeeling thru 1st, chirped 2nd, and had the pedal firmly planted on the floor . The Z was still right behind me . When we broke thru the traffic he merged over to the left and began accelerating . I glanced at the speedo and saw I was at 140 or so, then the Z blasted past me like I was standing still! If I had to guess I'd say he was doing at least 170 ! As he passed, flashing the peace sign , a quick scan of the car revealed nothing about it's performance. No wing, no huge exhaust tips, no stickers or nuthin' . But I don't think that those are capable of those speeds in stock form . I was quite shocked.
