main cats as my only concession to emissions controls. We are only required to pass a visual and a gas cap check because of the age of our cars. Eventually, you will only need to pass a gas cap check, according to current laws. I'm not sure exactly where the cut-off is for that but I know my '87 Z doesn't even get a visual for the emissions.
Think of how well most of the stuff you mentioned is hidden in our cars to start with. Don't get your car inspected at a dealership, where they might actually know what to look for. Go to your friendly neighborhood *mom & pop* shop. They will be baffled by the z32 engine bay and pass you on a visual.
