| Hey Guys, Just wanted to say "hi" to everyone. I've been lurking here since late last year and picked up a clean 1991 TT with 130k on the clock in January. I am enjoying the car and am grateful for the information I have found here. I have done a bit of maintenance but have a bit more to do before I am "satisfied" with the car. So far I have done the following: Pads & Rotors (Front/Rear): The brakes on the front of the car were smoked, rotors warped, etc. I went back with OEM stuff as I couldn't really afford the bucks for a Big Brake kit and feel that the standard sized stuff in slotted or drilled is just cosmetic. Air/Fuel filter change: Yep, just basic maintenance. The Air Filters were a PITA. I thought about going with a JWT Pop Charger but am not sure if it's worth it. K&N makes a similar kit (FIPK) but I'm not sure which is better. The K&N kit is cheaper... I don't want to take any chances with liquid-locking the engine if rainwater were to enter though. Next on the list is the 120k complete service. I live fairly near Z1 Motorsports so will have them do the job very soon. Ditto with Tension Rod & Shifter bushings which are totally worn out. Anyway, thanks again for the great info - I look forward to participating here.
