Message starting to lose it when that word pops up. People just say, "that's rice" whenever they see something different at this point. It's really annoying. You go out and spend $40k on a car and someone tries to say, that's rice??

I've been around modification in all aspects to understand where that phrase came from. It started after F&F came out. People saw "movie-built" Japanese cars that were extremely fast, and all of a sudden, there was this huge rush to drive an import and mod it as seen on TV. So this huge market develops, and all the parts suppliers figure out ways to sell modding parts, (mufflers, stickers, neons, grills, flares, etc) for extremely cheap prices. This is what RICE is. Rice originated as cheap alternatives to making a shit-box resemble an expensive modification done to an expensive car on screen.

Rice will never be a body kit designed by Nissan and placed on a $40k car.

As I stated before, if Rice is now what it is, then we're all Ricers, cause we all drive Japanese cars. In 1990, the 300ZX had a much different body style than a lot of the cars in it's time. Shit, it was one of the few cars in it's time to have projector headlights.... So it was different, and it was Japanese, I guess that makes it RICE!!!..... see my logic here?
