Message	I couldnt find anyone who would even do the labor on a bearing, 3rd gear, and syncro change cheaper then a new trans. I have no idea why its that level of expensive and your milliage may vary, but that was my experience. And if you have seen the writeup im sure you realize that the specialty tools make it a nearly impossible DIY unless you have access to some hard to come by pullers and slides.
