Basically I tore everything out of the engine bay, dropped the exhaust, tranny, took off the front bumper and fenders..all that stuff myself, then member aliaz, who was a HUGE help by coming over and brining an engine lift with him and he helped me pull the motor since I have never done that before. Then over the next two weeks I got to work.....fixing all the leaks that were in there, relocated everything that I wanted to relocate, fixed boost leaks, replaced my plenum, repainted the engine bay, replaced my windsheild, fixed my steering rack boots, rerouted all boost lines, wetsanded the new paint in the engine bay, ect. Basically, I did everything short of the motor build, that way this winter when I actually have the built motor, larger piping, and all that jazz in hand, I can just pull this out and put that in *crosses fingers* since basically everything else I wanted to do in there will already be done. We'll see if it goes that smoothly after all though haha (prolly not), but that is why I did it. Anyways, these are just three pics for now..a little before and after, but hopefully I'll have time one day to take some nice pics of the whole car and post some progress pics of the work. The whole process was truley a learning process and was a ton of fun really. It was great to have the engine out of the way and just sit in the engine bay for hours and hours working on it by myself. When the weather was actually nice here with the garage open it was quite a peaceful and calming thing to do. I give many thanks to Don (aliaz) for helping me pull the motor, thanks to Donnie (WacoZ) for coming over one day to help me with working on the car as well, thanks to my buddy Zech who I've known for years who doesn't own a Z but was more than willing to be another set of hands when working on the car, and thanks to the girl I'm seeing, for putting up with all this crap at our house for two weeks and keeping a positive attitude about it as well as helping me with some things on the car which required two people. Anyways, sorry, onto the few pics. Scary sight
